Hi guys! Today is all about Venice. As I've already told you I've made a short weekend trip to Venice before my birthday (not at this exact day cause it was on Monday this year). I've been in this magic place just once at the age of 16 and just one day. I liked it so much that I definitely decided to come back there one more time (at least).

This city is absolutely unique. Really, in the whole world you won't find another city on water. The only means of travel in Venice is a boat. In the beginning it felt quite awkward to take a boat to move to another part of the city but I get used to do it very quickly. One the one hand, November is one of the best periods to visit Venice because there are not so many tourists (I mean they're still many but the city is not overcrowded), you can see all the sights and take photos against them and not against other 20 people shooting the same photo at the same time. On the other hand, the weather is absolutely unpredictable. The first day of the staying there it must have been raining the whole day. Fortunately, there was no rain but there was an 'acqua alta' (a high water) at the St. Mark's square. It didn't last long the water went away after a couple of hours but in any case it was the high water!

Venice is one of the most romantic cities in the world. All its narrow streets, canals and gondolas can't leave anyone indifferent. The city is full of historical sights: St. Mark's Square and Basilica, Grand Canal, Rialto Bridge and many others. Venice is also famous for la biennale, a big international exhibition of the contemporary art. Actually a half of the second day I spent there. It's huge. Don't miss the opportunity if you're in Venice.

A bad thing is that in 2 days I didn't manage to find a good restaurant. Of course I didn't try many, I didn't try ones with high sky prices as well, but I tried the best restaurants according to reviews on the TripAdvisor. And I can tell you slices of take-away pizza in the shop windows of pizzerias seemed much more yummy than the food in restaurants. But a good thing is that the Veneto region, where Venice is situated, is a motherland of Spritz, a famous drink that is now well-known and well-drunk all over the world. Venice residents can drink it a whole day, I saw some people who even made breakfast with it:) Spritz prices here are ridiculously low, around 2-3 euros for a drink.

While travelling it's important to stay comfortable and choose right clothes according to the meteo conditions. But there is no necessity to explain to any of you how big is a desire of a girl to wear a beautiful dress when you're in a new amazing city. So, I arrived to Venice in jeans and a sweater. Then on the way to the hotel I checked the weather by myself and as I found out it was OK, I changed to my favourite black dress (not vice-versus!). It's really warm and tight and to keep me even warmer I put on my burgundy crop sweater above a dress. By the way, a new fluffy backpack just arrived to me from Nasty Gal opportunely a day before the trip. So, travel with style! And with a brain. Bye-bye

Всем привет! Сегодня всё о Венеции. Как я уже говорила, выходные перед моим Днем рождения я провела в Венеции (не сам праздник, так как в этом году День рождения выпал на понедельник). Прежде я была в этом волшебном месте лишь раз, когда мне было 16 лет, да и длилось мое пребывание всего лишь один день. Тогда я точно для себя решила вернуться сюда еще раз (хотя бы один).

Венеция - уникальный город. Во всем мире Вы не найдете второго города на воде. Единственное средство передвижения здесь - это лодка. Изначально передвижение по городу на лодке казалось весьма странным и запутанным заданием, но к этому очень быстро привыкаешь. С одной стороны, ноябрь - прекрасное время для посещения Венеции, так как в это время здесь значительно меньше туристов (их, конечно, в любом случае много, но улицы не переполнены), можно спокойно осмотреть все достопримечательности и сделать фотографии на их фоне, а не на фоне 20 людей, занимающихся тем же в то же время. С другой стороны, погода в конце осени абсолютно непредсказуема. Прогноз обещал дождь в течение всего первого дня, но, к счастью, дождя так и не было. A вот 'acqua alta', что в переводе наводнение, уже к этому времени занимала всю близкую к морю часть города, включая главную площадь Венеции - Сан Марко. Затопленная Венеция - явление зрелищное и, к счастью, недолговременное. Вода ушла уже через пару часов.

Венеция очень романтична. Эти узкие улочки, каналы и гондолы никого не могут оставить равнодушным. В городе просто масса исторических достопримечательностей: площадь и базилика Сан Марко, мост Риальто, Большой Канал и многие другие. Венеция также известна своей Биеннале - международной выставкой современного искусства. Она просто гигантская. Пожалуй, половину второго дня я провела именно там. Если Вы будете в Венеции, обязательно посетите ее, не упустите возможность.

Плохая новость, что за 2 дня я так и не нашла ни одного хорошего ресторана. Я, конечно, не посетила многих, не побывала также в самых дорогостоящих, но согласно рецензиям TripAdvisor я была в одних из лучших мест. Я Вам скажу, кусочки пиццы на вынос на витринах пиццерий выглядели гораздо аппетитнее, чем блюда в ресторанах. Зато регион Венето, где и находится Венеция, - это родина Сприца, напитка популярного во всем мире. Местные пьют его в течение всего дня, некоторых я даже видела с оранжевым бокалом во время завтрака. И цены на него здесь смешные: всего 2-3 евро за бокал.

Во время путешествий всегда важно выбирать удобную одежду, и, конечно, согласовывать выбор с погодными условиями. Но не мне Вам объяснять, как девушке хочется надеть красивое платье для прогулок по новому необыкновенному городу. Поэтому для поездки в поезде я выбрала джинсы и уютный свитер. Добравшись до гостиницы и проверив на себе, что на улице достаточно тепло, лишь тогда я позволила себе надеть свое любимое черное платье (не наоборот!). Чтобы уж точно не замерзнуть, я также надела поверх укороченный свитер цвета бургундского вина. Кстати, новый пушистый рюкзачок от Nasty Gal пришел как раз вовремя, за день до отъезда. В общем, путешествуйте со стилем! И с умом. Всем пока:)

Ciao ragazzi! Oggi si parla di Venezia. Come vi ho anticipato ho fatto un breve viaggio a Venezia il weekend prima del mio compleanno (l'11 è caduto di lunedì quest'anno). Sono già stata in questa città magica solo un'altra volta quando avevo 16 anni e mi è piaciuta così tanto che ho deciso di tornarci.

Questa città è assolutamente unica, in tutto il mondo non troverete un'altra città sull'acqua. Il classico mezzo di trasporto a Venezia è il vaporetto. All'inizio sembrava abbastanza scomodo a prenderlo per spostarsi in un'altra parte della città, ma ti ci abitui subito. Da un lato, Novembre è uno dei periodi migliori per visitare Venezia, perché non ci sono così tanti turisti (voglio dire che sono sempre tanti, ma la città non è affollata), è possibile vedere tutti i luoghi e immortalarli con la tua camera senza dover stare attenta agli altri turisti che ti passano accanto. Dall'altra parte, il tempo a fine autunno è assolutamente imprevedibile. Il primo giorno del viaggio era prevista pioggia, ma per fortuna così non è stato, anche se c'era acqua alta ovunque, anche in piazza San Marco. Non è durata tanta, l'acqua è andata via nel pomeriggio. In ogni caso ho visto per la prima volta la vera acqua alta!

Venezia è una delle città più romantiche del mondo. Tutte le sue strade strette, canali e gondole non possono lasciare nessuno indifferente. La città è piena di siti storici: Piazza e Basilica San Marco, Canal Grande, Ponte di Rialto e molti altri. Venezia è famosa anche per la Biennale, una grande mostra internazionale di arte contemporanea, infatti, anche se per poco non potevo fare a meno di non visitarla. E' immensa. Non perdete l'occasione quando sarete a Venezia.

Una cosa negativa è stata quella di non aver trovato un buon ristorante in due giorni. Ovviamente non ne ho provato molti, non ho provato quelli con i prezzi altissimi, ma i migliori ristoranti secondo le recensioni di TripAdvisor. Posso dirvi che i tranci della pizza take-away nelle vetrine delle pizzerie sembravano molto più gustosi anzichè il cibo nei ristoranti. Ma una cosa buona è che la regione Veneto è la patria dello Spritz. I Veneziani possono berlo tutto il giorno, ho visto alcune persone che hanno fatto anche la colazione con esso :) I prezzi per lo Spritz sono estremamente bassi, circa 2-3 euro per un drink.

Durante il viaggio è importante stare comodi e scegliere i vestiti giusti in base alle condizioni meteo. Ma non ho alcuna necessità di spiegare a voi quanto grande è il desiderio di una ragazza di indossare un bel vestito quando è in una città meravigliosa. Così, sono arrivata a Venezia in jeans e un maglione. Durante il tragitto per l'albergo ho controllato il tempo e avendo capito che non era poi così tanto male, mi sono cambiata e ho indossato il vestito nero (non vice-versus!). E' veramente caldo e stretto, e per tenermi ancora più caldo ho messo il mio maglione bordeaux sopra il vestito. Tra l'altro, un nuovo zaino soffice mi è appena arrivato dalla Nasty Gal puntualmente un giorno prima del viaggio. Viaggite con stile! E con cervello. Ciao
